If you’ve got a short clip (must be under 3 minutes max) that relates to surfing and has a connection to the Southern Gold Coast, go in the running to win big.  There’s no parameters around where the footage has/hasn’t been seen – it just needs to be homegrown! Please see full list of T&C’s below.

We’re all about the Southern Gold Coast so, your film needs to fit ONE of these criteria:
• You live in the Southern Gold Coast (Postcodes: 4225, 4224, 4223, 4221, 4220)
• Your footage was shot on the Southern Gold Coast
• The surfer or main subject of the film is from the Southern Gold Coast

The top ten finalists of the Flotsam surf clip comp will get their day in the sun (or under the moon) atop Kirra Hill when we announce the winner of Flotsam’s first ever surf clip showdown. The winner score prizes and loot, but also some fame – the chance to air on Fuel TV’s network of loyal action sports fans, AND be interviewed by Surfing Life magazine TV. The major prize? Jetting out from Coolangatta on their next filming mission with 2x return ScootPlus tickets valued at $3000 AUD! Runner Up scores $1500 cash + prizes thanks to the legends at Sobah. Meanwhile, Best Up and Comer gets $1000 cash and a $500 holiday voucher from our friends at RBR Holidays.

The main prize from Scoot includes: your choice of return flights from Coolangatta (OOL) to Singapore (SIN) or Phuket (HKT) for two with ScootPlus, valued at $3K. Enjoy a fuss-free, upsized experience when you travel on ScootPlus. Includes wide, premium leather seats, 30MB Wi-Fi, 30kg luggage, meals and more. Plus, if you’re bouncing onwards to a remote surf destination, boards go free so long as their weight fits into your total checked in baggage allowance. Prize is valid for six months.
