It’s back!
Calling all filmmakers, we’re back on the hunt for the best surf clips. Flotsam Surf Film and Photo Festival has teamed up with Independent for the return of the Homegrown Surf Clip comp, and there’s $2K in cash plus thousands in prizes to be awarded.
If you’ve got a short clip (must be under 3 minutes max) that is filmed in Australia, relates to surfing or our connection to the coast, send it in. There’s also a bonus round for clips filmed on the Gold Coast. And for the groms, a Youth Division supported by Bombora.
There’s no parameters around where the footage has/hasn’t been seen – it just needs to be Homegrown!

Flotsam Homegrown Photo Challenge returns and there’s cash and prizes in the mix.
We’re looking for images that showcase Australian surf culture: particularly its waves, it’s surfing talent, and coastal culture.
The comp is open to photographers of all levels Australia-wide, with a special prize division for images that reflect Gold Coast’s surf and connection to coast
