Born in Tweed Heads hospital, Daniel grew up in the local region with Coolangatta’s Goodwin Park his backyard. What he lacked in surfing ability he made up for in creativity, becoming a qualified Chef, Sports Photo Journalist, Qigong Instructor, and Copywriter, writing for clients like City of Gold Coast, Optus, Lion Nathan, McDonalds, Autobarn, BMW, Harvey Norman and many more.
He has written over 30 tribute poems for workmates, family, friends, and celebrities, including two that will be presented at this year’s Flotsam Festival; The Legend of Michael Peterson (which adorns the MP Memorial at Kirra Point), plus a tribute celebrating Joel Parkinson’s World Title victory in 2012.
