Flotsam Canisters will see select photographers exploring their coastal connection through film. Analogue photography by Ming Nomchong, Nat McComas, Trent Mitchell, Luke Henery, Tom Schulte and Ben Rayner will take centre stage in a group exhibition with a twist – images on display will be taken home piece by piece by attendees via lottery.
How it works: On arrival, attendees swap their entry ticket for a film canister. Each canister is numbered inside, correlating with a print by featured photographers. Select canisters will also contain gift vouchers, including film processing to reloaded cameras to start their own film journey armed + inspired.
Via their numbered canister, EVERY single ticket holder receives a collectable 6 x 8 inch ( 15.5 x 20.5 cm) fine art print from featured photographers valued far in excess of the cost of entry many times over, with all tickets sales going to featured artists.
A grand experiment in rewarding artists for their craft while ensuring attendees are rewarded for their time.
+ Enjoy laidback food + drinks, including premium organic tequila sampling from the fine folk at Solento!
+ Tunes, door prizes, and surprises
+ Giveaways from Wades World Photographics, Re-Disposible cameras and more.
Bayou Film will also be coming to the party with a truckload of doorprizes, include dev + scan and darkroom hire vouchers to be awarded at random, and a darkroom workshop for two participants (bring a mate) valued at $400
