Canisters is a analogue photography exhibition with a twist – a whimsical lucky dip for attendees to take home artwork, piece by piece. Canisters will see select film photographers exploring their coastal connection through film, taking the spotlight in this unique group show.
At the launch event (May 10), exhibition attendees can purchase a film canister in lieu of entry ticket. Each canister is numbered inside, correlating with a print by featured photographers — yours to keep.
That’s right – take home collectable 6 x 8 inch ( 15.5 x 20.5 cm) fine art prints from featured photographers, with all canister sales going to featured artists. Select canisters will also contain gift vouchers including film processing to reloaded cameras to start your own film journey armed and inspired. Bayou, Wade’s World and Redisposable will also be coming to the party with a truckload of door prizes.
Her Exposure magazine will also launch its latest issue at Canisters, spotlighting some of the featured female contributors as part of the show.
Expect coastal-inspired images, chill vibes, food, drinks, tunes, prizes and delightful surprises.
