Lauren L. Hill hosts The Waterpeople Podcast and is the author of She Surf: The Rise of Female Surfing. Her short films include The Physics of Noseriding, Kin, and Too Old Not To.
Raised on the barrier island of Anastasia, Lauren grew up immersed in the Atlantic Ocean and the brackish waterways of Florida’s East Coast. She holds degrees in Environmental and Social Science from Stetson University.
Her surfing has been featured in numerous films, including The Church of the Open Sky, Bella Vita, and Transparentsea Voyage.
Through her multimedia work, Lauren uses storytelling to inspire action to protect our planet and to nurture a more inclusive surf community.
