Ben Matson Media Expert

Ben Matson is the Founder of Swellnet, an Australian surfing website that had early roots as an Adelaide-only surf forecasting service in 2002. Since then, Swellnet has grown into a comprehensive media platform, employing a small team of surf meteorologists, editors, writers and developers who create daily content covering the full spectrum of surf-related talking points. In addition, Ben has extensive personal media experience across TV, print and radio as well as on-screen work for the ‘Storm Surfers’ film series with Tom Carroll and Ross Clarke-Jones, including one documentary for Red Bull, two documentaries for Discovery Channel, a four-part series for US television followed by a full length, cinematic 3D feature film for global release.
