Larisa Cevallos Oganova (SweetOcean) is an Ecuadorian-Australian photographer, creative director, and ocean storyteller based on the Gold Coast. Her work lives at the intersection of ocean conservation, visual storytelling, and human connection to Nature.
With over 15 years of experience in photography and communications, Larisa began her career in design and branding before evolving into a multidisciplinary practice focused on capturing the emotional and environmental depth of the natural world.
Through @SweetOcean, she creates imagery inspired by the sea—documenting freediving, coastal life, and the fragile beauty of marine ecosystems.
Her work is deeply influenced by her connection to the ocean; whether shooting above or below the surface, she invites the community to feel the wonder of our blue planet and the importance to protect it.
Alongside her creative practice, Larisa works in marketing and storytelling within purpose- led organisations and is actively involved in ocean-focused community projects on the Gold Coast. She’s the Co-founder of the Gold Coast Photography Awards, supporting emerging and established photographers.
Her imagery has been used across conservation-led campaigns and brand collaborations, always guided by a commitment to protecting the ocean and celebrating its quiet power.
