Born and raised in the southern suburbs of Brisbane Australia Luke Henery has spent the better part of his life touring in Bands Violent Soho, DZ Deathrays and Total Pace.
Touring the world has given Luke an appreciation of diverse landscapes and cultures. He seeks to capture these moments with his camera as a way of assisting his cloudy mind to remember.The mundane and empty spaces is what is in focus and an uneasy almost broken emotion sits in the underbelly his personal work.
Luke has a strong connection to the music scene photographing album covers, book covers and press photos for many bands and artists such as Tim Rodgers, Polaris, Dear Seattle, Dan Sultan, Waax, Dune Rats, DZ Deathrays, Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever, Smith Street Band, Boy n Bear.
Luke currently lives on the Gold Coast and spends his touring downtime capturing the Gold Coast and scenic rim using multiple alternative photo formats.
