Gold Coast Open x Flotsam Festival takes over Burleigh Headland with Flotsam: Foamo – a spotlight on local boardmaking artisans through photo and film.

With the world’s highest concentration of surfboard craftspeople and surf photographers and filmmakers per square kilometer, it’s no wonder that recent lockdowns saw a flurry of collaborations.

Photographic essays and short film content created by local filmers and photographers of several integral local shaping figures will be screened, as well as an exhibition of shapes that are an art form in and of themselves.
