90 minutes of action packed surfing profiling multi generations that will positively amp-up surfers of all eras, with a cast spanning 14 – 50 years of age. RE-PULSE was released when border lockdown were a thing, stopping the film from migrating into QLD for the showing it deserves.

This DOUBLE feature pays homage to the 90’s style of filmmaking with no slo-mo, drones or water angles, to deliver the audience a core surfing feast with a colossal crew. Narrated by 2 x World Surfing Champion Tom Carroll, it marks the 25th anniversary of the cult surf film PULSE. The majority of the original cast have returned for this new & exciting remake, backed by a kick-ass and catchy hand picked soundtrack.

WANDERJAHR – 20^th Anniversary

If you grew up in the 80s and 90s VHS surf films where absolute gospel, Australian surfing was an absolute powerhouse, rock was the soundtrack and a 6’4” your daily driver. Power surfing reigned supreme. That era of Australian surfing left a lasting impression on filmmaker Justin Gane, the man behind cult classics; Tempo, PULSE, Supa Dupa, Odyssey and the widely-admired documentary ‘Wanderjahr – The Margo Project’. To coincide with the latter’s 20-year-anniversary, Gane will stage a screening. All these years later the film’s star, Brendan Margieson, and his surfing has endured. Margo was one of the first fully fledged freesurfers in the world. Gifted the golden ticket from then sponsor Billabong, Margs chased swells to some of the most exotic locations around the world and along the way influenced generations.

Join Justin and a panel of surfers, collaborators and instigators as we travel back in time with some of his greatest masterpieces to discover the stories and influences behind both films.
