FLOTSAM and the legends at RBR have teamed up to bring you the ‘Flotsam Homegrown Photo Challenge’ – Gold Coast Edition– and there’s cash and prizes on the line to reward creative images.
Criteria:
Photo submissions should be suitable for Flotsam Festival, an annual outdoor surf + ocean photography festival which places iconic images back into our coastal Gold Coast’s World Surfing Reserve.
We’re looking for photos that highlight the essence of this extraordinary surfing wonderland, or capture the Gold Coast through an ocean/surf lens.
Best Photo: $2000 cash
Winners will be announced at the Flotsam Homegrown event at Burleigh, May 11. Watch the entries in our film and photo comps light up the big screen alongside the best local surf clips, music, and more.
+ To qualify for the Up and Coming category, filming and/or content creation must not constitute a regular part of your income – or- you are a filmmaker under 25 years of age. Entrants under 18 must have parental permission.
+ All images submitted to the competition must agree to allow social reposting by the festival and/ or other event sponsors with tag/ credit.
+ If selected as a finalist, entrants must agree to allow usage by the Festival and/or other sponsors in conjunction with exhibition and festival promotional materials. Usage will include tag and / or name credit.
+ The three main category winners (Best Photo, Best Junior, People’s Choice) must agree to allow usage in a general promotional material/marketing by Flotsam Festival and sponsors across various channels (including, but not limited to, social, online website, broadcast and print). Usage will include tag and / or name credit.
+ All entrants retain rights to their own images – entry doesn’t override this!
